The Penedès area, 50 km from Barcelona, has a long tradition in the production of wine and cava, one of the main activities of the region, in which 98% of all Spanish cava is elaborated.

For many years in the Penedès, cava has been produced by "blending" the wines from the three local varieties of white grapes in the area: xarel·lo, macabeo and parellada.

From the hills that surround the Font-Rubí and Castellví de la Marca regions, in the heart of the Penedès, the vineyards are witnesses to the agricultural and economic potential of the area that holds the secrets of cava.
